Salary: circa £35,000.00 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for Senior Installation Engineers to join our Project Delivery Team.

The role:

Our technology solutions transform the way people live and work and you will be a critical part of that, installing, terminating, and certifying network cable infrastructures in different environments. We are looking for Certified Network Cable Installers (Copper and Fibre) to plan and control day to day activities in support of site based technical infrastructure projects.

As an operational Team Leader, the role holder will supervise field-based staff and contractors as well as undertaking daily tasks themselves in order to ensure targets (time, cost, quality, customer service) defined by the Project Manager are delivered.

Responsibilities:

• Act as onsite Lead Engineer within infrastructure and hardware installation projects, throughout your geographical region.
• Work as part of, plan and control day to day activities for the installation team on site.
• Liaise with main and sub-contractor personnel on site to ensure project work is delivered timeously and to industry standards.
• Attend site DABs and support the Project Manager in weekly / monthly site meetings.
• Deliver Toolbox Talks to your installation team.
• Conduct dynamic site-specific risk assessments, for plant and work areas.
• Monitor the quality and productivity against programme and maintain daily site records and reports.
• Co-ordinate and manage materials deliveries on site.
• Work with the Glide Project Manager to ensure all works variations, delays etc are captured and reported timeously.

Skills and experience:

• 
  Sector knowledge: Strong knowledge of the technologies employed in Structured, Fibre Optic and FIRS cabling solutions as well as an understanding of working within the restrictions of the construction industry. Experience of new build construction and refurbishment projects.
• Customer focus: Experience of interfacing with customers, with a professional and technically knowledgeable approach. Able to balance the demands of the customer with the commercial interests of the business.
• Team Leadership: Experience and/or ability to lead and manage a small site-based team to ensure high quality installations.
• Health and Safety: Relevant knowledge/training including Asbestos awareness, SSSTS, CSCS/ECS card, manual handling and working at height.
• Self-management: Organised with the ability to prioritise workload and manage own time.
