A Salesforce System Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and overall management of the Salesforce platform within an organization. They ensure that Salesforce is effectively utilized to meet business requirements, optimize processes, and drive productivity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the configuration, customization, and administration of Salesforce CRM platform.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into Salesforce system requirements.

  • Customize Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, processes, and page layouts to meet specific business requirements.

  • Create and manage user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions to ensure data security and access control.

  • Maintain data integrity by conducting regular data quality audits and implementing data cleansing procedures.

  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and workflows to provide real-time insights and enable data-driven decision-making.

  • Train and support Salesforce users across the organization, addressing their queries and providing guidance on system usage.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, working with technical teams and Salesforce support to resolve complex problems.

  • Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, new features, and industry best practices, and assess their applicability to the organization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Salesforce with other business systems and applications.

  • Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, data migrations, and other system-related projects.

  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain an up-to-date repository.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM platform, including configuration, customization, and administration.

  • Proficient in Salesforce automation tools, workflows, process builder, and validation rules.

  • Understanding of Salesforce security model and ability to manage user permissions and data access.

  • Experience in creating and managing reports, dashboards, and data analytics.

  • Familiarity with data management and data quality best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred.

  • Salesforce Administrator certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator) is highly desirable.
