Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Real-Time Testing Specialist with proven experience preferably in the Energy and Utilities industry. As a vital member of our team, youll design, execute, and optimize comprehensive test plans for our real-time systems, ensuring seamless functionality, adherence to strict timing constraints, and optimal performance. This role demands extensive knowledge of energy sector regulatory needs, software methodologies, and a proactive approach to quality assurance and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Real-Time System Analysis: Analyze complex real-time energy systems (e.g., SCADA, smart grids, energy management systems) to identify testing requirements and potential performance bottlenecks.
• Test Case Development: Design detailed test cases to validate system functionality, accuracy, performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and compliance with energy sector regulations.
• Test Execution: Execute manual and automated test cases for real-time systems, meticulously documenting results and troubleshooting issues.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure testing strategies align with overall project goals and to resolve quality issues with speed.
• Data Monitoring and Analysis: Analyze real-time test data to pinpoint trends, identify anomalies, and recommend solutions that drive continuous improvement.
• Reporting: Create clear and concise test reports with actionable insights to guide optimization efforts and decision-making.
• Continuous Improvement: Advocate for best practices in real-time testing, exploring new methodologies and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing, including a substantial focus on real-time systems in the Energy and Utilities domain.
• Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of real-time testing principles, techniques, and best practices. Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., TTCN-3, MSC, SDL).
• System Knowledge: Solid understanding of real-time systems components, architectures, and protocols relevant to the energy sector.
• Industry Insights: Working knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements within the Energy and Utilities industry.
• Methodologies: Fluency in various software testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box, unit testing, integration testing, system testing).
• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate technical details and collaborate across teams.

Desired Skills:

• Programming: Ability to write test scripts and develop proof-of-concept tools using one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java).
• Database Systems: Working knowledge of database systems for test data management.
