Overview: The Director of Business Development for Entertainment & Hospitality (E&H) is responsible for direct end customer engagement and developing a team to drive growth and revenue within the cinema, hospitality, and entertainment vertical markets across the Americas. This role involves developing and implementing the overall sales strategy for the E&H vertical market. This includes setting long-term goals, creating sales policies, and collaborating with other departments to align sales efforts with broader business objectives, identifying and cultivating target end users, expanding market share, and delivering a great experience consistent with our brand. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in growing our companys presence in these important verticals.
Base Pay Range 173,000 - 218,000

Responsibilities: Create Vertical Market Strategies
  • Work closely with the executive team to create plans that drive sustainable growth and increase sales.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the most lucrative subverticals
  • Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to formulate effective strategies.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to expand our presence in key verticals.
  • Work with the Alliances and Ecosystem team to secure partnerships that drive revenue and enhance the companys position in the market.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to revenue and market share.

Direct Sales Execution
  • Create and implement innovative sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing and other teams to set and achieve sales targets within each sub-vertical.
  • Actively engage in direct business development activities to stimulate demand, identify opportunities, and build pipeline.
  • Build, lead, motivate and mentor a team of business development professionals in engaging potential clients and stakeholders to grow our business, providing guidance and support.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Develop and manage the budget for business development activities for hospitality and entertainment and ensure cost-effective use of resources while maximizing ROI.

Build Key Account Management Practice
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Working in harmony with adjacent functional sales teams (Consultant Liaison & Channel managers) to coordinate projects
  • Drive revenue growth by closing deals and securing long-term adoption.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Leading and managing the Solutions Architect Team Members
  • Recruiting new sales talent into the organization
  • Assisting with new hire onboarding and filling training gaps within the existing BD team.
  • Help with occasional special projects.
  • Organizing and conducting effective team cadence meetings
  • Enforce Data Integrity for BisDev’s Account, Contact, Opportunity, and Quote records.
  • Attending training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating and supporting the business development team to achieve their objectives.
Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years demonstrated and relevant experience in personal selling.
  • Proven experience working with adjacent sales teams (consultant liaisons, strategic and channel)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Must possess the ability to make decisions within designated area of responsibility
  • Possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and sales management software (ERP/CRM etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly independent and self-motivated
  • Excellent listening, patient people skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting business priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships at all levels
