As an Administrative Assistant I in Bariatric Surgery, you will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support departmental operations, including scheduling appointments, answering and triaging phone calls, greeting patients and visitors and managing correspondence. This role is an essential part of the Bariatric and Metabolic Institute, which contributes to a seamless patient intake process and overall efficiency. You will also serve as a backup for the intake phone line, responding to patient inquiries and directing communication appropriately. In collaboration with the Specialty Program Assistant, this role plays a key role in facilitating the insurance approval process by retrieving medical records, coordinating with referring physician offices and ensuring that all required documentation is collected in advance of patient visits.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively such as, acting as a liaison between internal and external customers by greeting customers, answer and triage phone calls.

Administer calendar and schedule management.

Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g., reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.) as required.

Provide coverage of other areas such as front end, point of service and registration.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High School Diploma or GED
-
One year office experience
-
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Two years of college or business school

Typing proficiency of 35 WPM with accuracy

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $15.75
Maximum hourly: $21.65
