Assistant Controller

We are currently seeking an Assistant Controller to be responsible for various duties, tasks and responsibilities within our accounting department. The ability to complete multiple, simultaneous projects with specific deadlines is a must.The Assistant Controller is cross trained for all jobs under the direction of the Corporate Controller.

Key Responsibilities include

• Manage and reconcile accounts for monthly closing and preparation of financial statements and budgets using Sage 100 and Excel
• Payroll, benefits and HR related tasks
• Assist in year-end closing and frequent interaction with outside auditors and tax preparers
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Some knowledge of Corporate tax (S Corp) necessary
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial processes
• Ad hoc reports

Who we are looking for

• Bachelors degree in Accounting required
• 7-10 years accounting experience
• Knowledge of Excel required
• Knowledge of Sage 100 a plus
