Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Geotechnical Design) to join our Transportation team in Bellevue WA in Summer 2026, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our transportation clients challenges locally and worldwide.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and apply your academic knowledge to real-world civil engineering challenges. You will assist our team in various aspects of geotechnical design and learn about industry-standard procedures and software.

Youll work alongside experienced Engineers and Project Managers, gaining valuable insights into geotechnical engineering.

Your Responsibilities May Include:

• Assist in analyzing field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design
• Gain insight into advanced software tools such as Settle3D, Slide, LPILE, DeepXcav, FLAC, PLAXIS, and MathCAD for engineering analysis.
• Support the development of construction plans and technical specifications for geotechnical design
• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation
• Participate in field assignments: soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, instrumentation installation, and construction inspection

Heres what youll need

• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Completed coursework related to geotechnical engineering
• Drivers License

Ideally, You Will Also Have :

• 3.0 GPA 
• Must be at least a rising Junior
• Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software
• A previous internship related to your field of study
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills 
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
