Enterprise Program Manager

Trinity Industries is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Manager of Program Management to support critical strategic initiatives across the enterprise. This individual contributor role will report directly to the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and play a pivotal role in driving program excellence, supporting M&A activities, and establishing governance frameworks.

This role is ideal for a seasoned program manager who thrives in ambiguous environments, can build coalitions across diverse teams, and is skilled at exerting influence beyond formal reporting lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement program management policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
• Build and maintain project plans for high-impact strategic initiatives.
• Support mergers and acquisitions through program oversight, integration planning, and execution tracking.
• Facilitate the Program Management Governance Committee, ensuring alignment, accountability, and transparency.
• Compile and deliver status updates, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership.
• Lead the development of business cases to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct project management training sessions and workshops as needed.
• Apply basic financial modeling skills to support business case development, scenario planning, and investment analysis.
• Navigate uncertainty and evolving priorities with confidence and clarity.
• Build cross-functional coalitions, foster collaboration, and influence stakeholders at all levels—regardless of formal authority.

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent required
• 5+ years of related experience
• Proven experience in program and project management, preferably in a corporate strategy or enterprise-level environment.
• Strong understanding of strategic planning, governance, and M&A processes.
• Solid foundation in financial modeling and business case development.
• Exceptional communication and listening skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while driving collaboration across teams.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or Prince2 are required.
• Experience in status reporting, training delivery, and cross-functional coordination is highly desirable.
