We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both strategic HR initiatives and administrative processes, ensuring efficient operations and employee satisfaction. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing organizational performance, fostering employee engagement, and supporting management in policy development and implementation.
Responsibilities:
• Act as a liaison between management and staff, addressing employee concerns and facilitating communication to resolve workplace issues.
• Provide guidance to managers on organizational policies, including compliance with equal employment opportunity and harassment prevention.
• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive onboarding sessions for new hires to ensure seamless integration into the company.
• Assist in the preparation and administration of documents related to employee disputes and disciplinary actions.
• Support recruitment efforts by participating in candidate sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes.
• Maintain accurate records of employee benefits and assist in managing benefit plans and pay-scale systems.
• Collaborate with management on strategic HR planning to drive productivity and improve business outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations related to hiring practices, such as affirmative action plans.
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Word and Excel to manage HR documentation and reporting.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to employees to support their growth and development.
Requirements• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail.• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for administrative tasks and reporting.• Solid understanding of HR policies, including equal employment opportunity and affirmative action regulations.• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time in a dynamic environment.• Knowledge of employee benefit plans and pay-scale systems.• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills for fostering positive employee relations.• Experience in recruitment processes, including interviewing and candidate evaluation.Information :
