Job Duties

Lead Data Scientists for various and unanticipated worksites throughout U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Independently research, analyze and apply machine learning, statistical and analytical algorithms against large data sets. Explore and test various algorithms to improve existing systems and develop solutions, achieve business objectives. Architect Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) portion of multiple, large projects. Develop prototypes and collaborate with software engineers to implement the chosen algorithm(s) in a full production system. Perform data analysis, experiment with various software designs, brainstorm new research ideas and implement these ideas with a mixture of popular technologies. Report issues. Work with internal client teams and other business stakeholders to define project requirements and translate into data science deliverables. Mentor junior data scientists and engineers. Technical environment: machine learning, Natural Language Processing; statistical and analytical algorithms; Linux command line; Python, SQL, Excel; Spark, Hadoop; Agile environment.

Job Requirements

Masters degree in Analytics, Computer Science or Information Science/Systems or Information Management plus two years of experience in software development or data analytics required. Required skills: experience with machine learning, Natural Language Processing; SQL; Spark; Hadoop; identifying common patterns, trends in data; Python; Agile environment. Telecommuting permitted. 

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $100,000-$115,000.
