VP, Underwriting, Major Accounts, Cyber

  • Supervise and guide underwriters, ensuring implementation of core underwriting strategies, including reviewing and approving of large and/or complex Cyber and Professional Liability accounts.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen key agency and broker relationships for Cyber with a focus on core broker partnerships within the Eastern Zone.
  • Oversee the execution of underwriting strategies by clearly communicating priorities and objectives internally to underwriters, , Regional Operations, and GCE/MSL teams, as well as externally to brokers and producers.
  • Contribute to business and budget planning efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Train and mentor underwriters on product knowledge, system utilization, and modeling tools to enhance their expertise and performance.
  • Collaborate on branch agency management initiatives, including agency analysis, strategic planning, goal setting, agent education, and market engagement. 
  • Support the product team in achieving key objectives related to premium growth, profitability, retention, rate management, and expense targets for Cyber products.
  • Represent Chubb Global Cyber in the marketplace by building strong external relationships with brokers, clients, competitors, and industry organizations, while serving as a key leader and advocate for the company.

  • Sales and Marketing: Comprehensive understanding of Cyber products in the marketplace. Skilled in marketing and promoting Chubbs differentiated, value-added coverage and service offerings. Proven ability to prospect effectively and leverage sales and marketing tools to drive results.
  • Broker Management: Adept at building and maintaining strong broker relationships while managing expectations in dynamic market environments.
  • Collaboration: Excels in working cross-functionally with field teams, home office, claims, legal, product management, compliance, marketing, communications, OSD, and L&D. Provides underwriters and underwriting assistants with the tools and support needed to execute underwriting strategies successfully. Demonstrates strong consultation and partnership skills.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively manages communication and ensures alignment among key stakeholders, including brokers/agents, branch offices, product managers, and senior leadership.

The pay range for the role is $162,000 to $216,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors.
