The opportunity:

Were seeking an inspiring leader and visionary to head up our US Professional Development program. 

Youll drive strategy, execution, and innovation to ensure Stile becomes the go-to professional learning partner for science educators in the United States. Your leadership will shape the professional learning landscape, influence pedagogical practice at scale, and impact the learning of tens of thousands of students.

What youll be leading:

• Team building and facilitation leadership: Lead the recruitment, training, and performance of US facilitators. Support and elevate others to deliver high-impact, high-energy sessions that are consistent, inspiring, and pedagogically rigorous.

• Strategic vision and program design: Architect the future of US PD at Stile. Youll lead the creation and continual refinement of our full suite of PD offerings - synchronous and asynchronous - ensuring alignment with Stiles instructional philosophy and school system needs.

• Customer-centric innovation: Use feedback and data to iterate on our PD approach. Youll champion teacher and district voice, ensuring our offerings always feel relevant, responsive, and deeply 

• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure PD is embedded into the broader Stile experience and implementation strategy.

What success looks like:

Within 6 months:

• You deeply understand Stiles product, pedagogy, and existing PD.

• Youve mapped out and begun executing a vision for long-term PD impact and scale in the US.

Within 12 months:

• Youve led the refinement of all in-person PD formats and built systems that ensure consistently excellent delivery.

• Youve built a confident, aligned team across sales, customer success, and facilitation who feel equipped to champion and deliver PD.

• Youve significantly grown our PD footprint and reach, doubled our bookings, and positioned Stile as a category-defining leader in science education PD.

You are a strategic and charismatic educational leader with a deep understanding of effective PD, a passion for pedagogy, and a proven ability to build, lead, and scale impactful programs. Youre energized by big goals, complexity, and the chance to shape something meaningful from the ground up.

Were looking for someone who is passionate about science education and helping teachers grow. You might be (or have been) an instructional coach, led professional learning initiatives, or held another leadership role with a focus on pedagogy and curriculum.

• Extensive science teaching experience: Educators appreciate learning from fellow teachers, and having Stile PD led by experienced educators offers a unique advantage. You dont just talk the talk, youve walked the walk as well. 

• Pedagogy expert: Youve got an unmatched understanding of evidence-based teaching strategies and know how to bring them to life in the classroom. 

• Professional Learning Design: You bring a strong background in Professional Learning Design adult learning theory and instructional coaching methodologies. Your expertise enables you to create impactful, engaging professional development experiences. With a keen understanding of what educators need, you craft sessions that are not only practical but also grounded in the latest educational research and best practices.

• Creative and engaging: Youve got a gift for making complex topics fun and accessible, finding new ways to inspire teachers. Your creativity knows no bounds when it comes to designing resources that engage and excite.

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment: Stile is a nimble, fast-moving company, and you love that. Youre comfortable adapting to change and can keep up with the pace while staying organized and focused on the mission.

Hours and location

This is a full-time, permanent role for someone in Portland, OR. If youre not located here, well help you relocate. Youll fly domestically a lot - at least once a month, maybe more, to lead in-person PD, strengthen district partnerships, and support school implementations.

Compensation, benefits, and perks

The current base salary range is $100,000 - $130,000 per annum based on experience.
