Research Analyst
What You Will Do
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize and execute projects
- Be able to troubleshoot independently or with limited supervision
- Perform routine, and non-routine testing, method development, and perform statistical analysis of data
- Perform wet-chemistry techniques and utilize appropriate instrumentation for analysis
- Provide written technical reports and lab test summaries
- Possess meticulous attention to detail with good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Work safely and collaboratively in a high-performance, fast-paced R&D environment which includes interaction with cross-functional teams
- Learn and apply pertinent cellulose and byproducts chemistry principles
- Bachelors degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, or a related field
- Willing and able to travel up to 35% of the time including mill sites
- Willing and able to work flexible hours to include overtime, as business needs require
- Experience working in R&D lab for at least 1 year
- Excellent wet-chemistry skills
- Experience in Pulp and Paper Chemistry or a related field.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with one or more of the following techniques: autotitrator, pH meter, Karl Fisher titrator, liquid-liquid extractions
