Serves as a subject-matter expert with deep knowledge of the core Beacon Epic application, related non-Epic products/applications, and supported operational processes. Focuses on multiple areas of broad processes within the supported application, often involving significant integrations with related Epic and non-Epic systems. Uses a consultative approach to work across internal teams and external partners to understand and define complex problems. Independently manages the design, build/configuration, testing, and ongoing support of assigned Epic application areas, including advanced configurations and complex implementations.
The Senior IT Epic Analyst will be responsible for:- Serving as a subject-matter expert in Epic and related systems across clinical and revenue cycle processes.
- Leading design, configuration, testing, and support of complex Epic solutions and integrations.
- Collaborating with operations to analyze workflows, identify root causes, and implement data-driven solutions.
- Managing cross-functional projects involving Epic and third-party system integrations.
- Triaging and resolving advanced support tickets, especially those spanning multiple applications.
- Performing advanced system builds, configurations, and documentation for large-scale user impact.
- Coordinating with IT and vendors to implement and maintain Epic-integrated solutions.
- Managing upgrades, reviewing release notes, and prioritizing new features for implementation.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders and facilitating project and team meetings.
- Supporting training development and providing specialized instruction to user groups.
- Mentoring junior analysts and guiding team best practices and technical decision-making.
- Participating in professional development, conferences, and Epic certification opportunities.
- Bachelors Degree is required or an Associates Degree with an additional 2 years of related experience or a high school diploma/GED with an additional 4 years of related experience (may substitute for a Bachelors Degree).
- 3 years of experience directly involved in Beacon Epic application support and/or implementation, performing builds in the targeted application(s). Demonstrated experience performing moderately complex builds is required.
- 5 years of experience directly involved in Beacon Epic application support, performing builds in the targeted application(s). Demonstrated experience performing moderately complex builds is preferred.
- Beyond Epic experience, direct system/application support involving operational analysis will be credited.
- Experience working directly in the specific domain (Beacon) being supported: hospital revenue cycle, patient scheduling, finance/billing, etc., demonstrating understanding of the groups challenges.
- This role is Hybrid.
