Job Description


Sibylline is looking for a dynamic and motivated Head of Embed Operations. Based Remote in either the U.S. or the U.K. and reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Embed Operations is responsible for ensuring the seamless integration and effective management of our embedded teams across a broad range of diverse clients. Responsible for line managing a team of Embed Managers, and responsible for our embedded support, training, and consulting products on a global basis. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, communication skills and strong management experience and be a thought leader in intelligence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership and team management: You will lead a team of embed operations managers. This includes hiring, training, and supervising team members and setting team goals and objectives.

  • Implementation and management: You will oversee the implementation of policy and procedures for our embedded teams, ensuring a seamless integration between our Head Office and embedded employees.

  • Analytics and reporting: Use of data to monitor and analyse the performance of our embedded teams, this includes generating reports and providing insights to relevant stakeholders across the business and to our clients.

  • Collaboration and relationship management: Collaborating with internal teams, such as Relationship Branch, TRACK (Training and Consulting) and HR, to gather information and requirements to ensure the successful integration of embeds on both new and existing contracts. You will also work with external partners and vendors to optimize embed performance and address any issues or concerns.

  • Process improvement and optimization: continuously evaluate and improve embed operations processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with wider company policy. This includes identifying areas for optimisation, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Quality assurance and compliance: conduct regular audits and testing of embeds to ensure they meet quality standards and are compliant with relevant regulations and policies, providing feedback to the relevant embed manager.

  • Documentation and training: develop and maintain documentation and training materials for all embed operations, ensuring that team members have access to up-to-date information and are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to exceed in their role.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements: You will stay updated with the latest industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies. This includes attending conferences, participating in professional development activities, and staying informed about new tools and techniques that can enhance embed operations and team effectiveness.

  • Relationship management and stakeholder engagement- Liaise with existing clients and assist with RFP proposals and new client bids. Delivery of new embedded programs, including managing the successful transition of teams from other vendors.

  • Continuous performance improvement of existed embedded teams, focused on people and process

  • Attend industry events, where relevant.


Qualifications


Minimum

  • Masters degree in a related field, for example International Relations, Politics, Security.

  • 12 years experience in Intelligence Management, consulting or embedded services, within a private sector intelligence role with regional or global experience.

  • Full professional proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong private sector industry networks, with membership and thought leadership across key global, regional, and local intelligence sharing groups.

  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality, while presenting credibility, objectivity, and respect across all parts of the business.

  • Ability to interpret, organize and visualize data;

  • Focused on operational delivery and excellence in intelligence

  • Business development/customer service/relationship management skills

  • Ability to determine how geopolitical and security threats could impact private sector operations, travelers and sites;

  • Analytical flair, with the ability to provide rigorous, creative insight into complex situations;

  • Able to innovate and identify potential opportunities to enhance efficiency and/or effectiveness within own area of work, including developing own knowledge to increase effectiveness.

  • Able to break down a problem into component parts and determine appropriate action.

  • A self-starter who can appropriately prioritize, plan own work and agree on team workload management with peers, while meeting deadlines and often facing time pressure.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment;

  • Ability to work in both individual and team environments;

  • Excellent attention to detail;

  • High level competency with MS Office tools;

  • Full authorization to live and work in the U.S. or the U.K.


Preferred


  • Previous experience of working or managing embedded teams

  • Experience in project management

  • Strong personal initiative, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance.

  • Existing thought leadership in intelligence (articles, product design, etc).

  • Experience of Business process optimization.

  • Additional language fluency


Additional Information


Successful candidates will be invited to complete a writing assessment test to writing skills. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a final panel interview with presentation. In the current environment, our interviews will be conducted virtually.

The remuneration for this role is negotiable for the right candidate, dependent on qualifications, aptitude and experience. The salary range for this position is $140,000- $170,000 per year.
