Job Title: VP of Sales, Dairy Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Remote, anywhere in the US
Position summary
EverAg. is seeking their next VP of Sales to set sales strategies and increase market penetration for business in the U.S. The VP of Sales is a key member of the leadership team within EverAg, an expanding agriculture supply-chain a software company that brings operational excellence and full coordination of agriculture operations and distribution.

The VP of Sales will continue to build out the sales organization and help lead the company into new market to ensure we meet short-term and long-term objectives.

Role focus
This role reports to and interfaces directly with the Chief Revenue Officer and the PE-backed investment firm in setting and fulfilling the company’s sales goals. The VP of Sales will work with other senior leaders in Marketing, Operations, professional services, customer success, product, and business units in creating messaging and product capabilities.

The VP of Sales will manage and grow the sales team, set goals, and provide leadership and mentorship to the team to drive pipeline, close business, identify growth opportunities, design development programs, and align these activities with EverAg cultural values. Additionally, the sales leader will internally partner to create and maintain Sales Department policies, procedures, training manuals, and sales-related resource materials.

Location and Travel: Work location will be remote in the U.S. with up to 50% travel, as business needs requires.

How you will be contributing
  • Manage all areas of sales including sales strategies, sales processes, developing, and driving go-to-market strategies, and hiring the expanding sales team.
  • Interface with Marketing to establish targeted accounts by business sector and geographic location.
  • Review new contracts and influence pricing to ensure internal margins and metrics are met.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Enterprise Sales Executives and Sales Account Executives in all areas related to sales process, pricing and negotiations, upselling strategies, and customer engagement.
  • Maintain pipeline and forecast daily in CRM and provide timely and accurate reports to the leadership and Board members.
  • Create and maintain Sales Department policies, procedures, training manuals, and sales-related resource materials.
  • Work with Human Resources to recruit, hire and train new team members.
  • Lead or participate in other assigned projects.
What we are hoping to find in your background
  • Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Business, Marketing or related areas from an accredited college or university
  • 5 or more years of sales management experience with enterprise software
  • Agriculture software experience strongly desired
  • Understanding and ability to negotiate software and services contracts consistent with industry revenue recognition policies.
  • Prior experience with CRM systems and data analysis systems
  • Proven success in working across teams and inspiring team members to achieve organizational objectives
