About the Director, Talent Acquisition and Management

The Director, Talent Acquisition and Management will play a pivotal role both creating strategies and executing a plan for the full end-to-end Talent Process across multiple areas of the company from corporate support to clinic, patient-facing teams. This person will pioneer defining our candidate experience and employer brand, developing hiring and onboarding experiences and furthering careers as talent advances through the organization.

As Upperline works to achieve aggressive growth over the next 3-5 years, this role will play a critical part in the People Operations team to drive our future success. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this individual will interact and influence at all levels of the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for the leadership, design, development and execution of an effective recruiting strategy that enhances Upperline’s business objectives across multiple functions and workforce segments, including managing/directing weekly priorities and focus areas
  • Oversee the management of contractual relationships with placement agencies, job boards, job fairs, professional conferences and various job search websites for posting requisitions
  • Own the Talent budget, including agency fees, recruitment marketing and other investments
  • Lead and develop recruiting team, building a culture of high performance, self-development and engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with resident and fellowship programs, professional organizations, and other talent sources
  • Ensure the ATS/HRIS processes are defined to support business need including developing talent processes and providing data, metrics and analytics
  • Lead upcoming UKG HRIS implementation and other associated technology implementations as needed
  • Establish recruiting metrics and analytics that provide insights, guide decision making and measure team productivity and program ROI; measure team performance against maintaining consistent standards for all applicants and ensuring compliance with all local rules and regulations related to hiring and recruiting
  • Partner with CPO and Total Rewards/HRIS team to share market trend knowledge and develop cross-functional strategy to attract and retain talent through competitive offers
  • Partner closely with Learning & Leadership team to develop competitive talent programs, including performance review, growth assessments and leadership development
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including pay transparency regulations by locale
  • Partner with leaders at all levels to create clear career paths and development opportunities for internal talent
  • Analyze employee engagement data and identify areas of improvement
  • Develop and manage succession plan strategies for key positions

Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is highly preferred
  • Strategic, influential, and confident in building relationships with employees at all levels
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Talent, leading TA and driving talent management outcomes
  • Experience in Healthcare preferred
  • Previous experience working closely with or directly managing an early career program
  • Strong understanding of medical recruiting trends and best practices
  • Excellent professional communication and people skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment software (UKG highly preferred)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Minimal travel required
