Inventory Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team for a brief project in Henrico, Virginia. In this role, you will play a vital part in organizing and maintaining accurate inventory records, contributing to the smooth operation of our events and activities. This position is a short term project that will average around 20 hours a week.

• Review incoming shipments and unpack boxes containing event merchandise such as t-shirts and jerseys.

• Accurately record inventory details into the designated inventory management system.

• Ensure all items are properly categorized and organized for easy accessibility.

• Verify shipment contents to match purchase orders and resolve discrepancies when necessary.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to facilitate efficient inventory handling.

• Assist in preparing items for distribution or event usage as needed.

• Communicate with team members to address inventory-related inquiries or issues.

• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures while handling inventory.

• Provide updates on inventory progress and completion to supervisors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in clerical or inventory roles.

• Familiarity with inventory systems or similar software tools.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Ability to lift and move boxes as needed during inventory processing.

• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on efficiency.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications like Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets and inventory systems.

• Familiarity with Teamworks (or similar inventory software) is a plus, but not required — training will be provided
