Psychiatrist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility East of Atlanta, Georgia
A full-service community hospital is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.The facility is located slightly east of Atlanta, GA.A physician is needed for 6 hours per week in July (12 days/week) to support a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for geriatric patients. Hours will increase to 12 per week in August and September (23 days/week) to include both PHP and an Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). PHP runs from 10 a.m.3 p.m. with 68 patients per day, while IOP runs 11 a.m.2:30 p.m. with similar volume. Coverage is flexible on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday, and telehealth is an option. Diagnoses include depression, anxiety, cognitive decline, early dementia, grief, substance use, adjustment disorders, and bipolar disorder.
