Job Description

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations Maintenance team by ensuring the efficient repair and maintenance of material handling equipment and pneumatic systems within the facility. This role requires proficiency in installing and troubleshooting various components, including photo eyes, motor starters, relays, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems.
  • Install and troubleshoot components such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
  • Provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs.
  • Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks and suggest improvements.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 4+ years of experience in repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 4+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • 4+ years of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles.
  • 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing MHE systems.
  • 4+ years of experience with MHE safety standards according to OEM and Safety standards.
  • 3+ years of experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience working and coordinating with vendors.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to coordinate complex maintenance activities.
  • Associate or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Experience acting in a team lead capacity, supporting and mentoring less experienced technicians.
  • 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
  • Project Management experience.

Work Environment

Work in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and robotics. Be prepared to walk 10,000 steps per day and handle up to 49 pounds. Performance is tracked by data to ensure expectations are met, without micromanagement. Candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lubbock, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.50 - $34.50/hr.
