The Asset Protection Field Specialist is instrumental in safeguarding lululemons brand, people, and assets across North America, directly contributing to the companys success and growth. By analyzing complex risks, leading critical security initiatives, and fostering a culture of safety and integrity, they protect the foundation of lululemons operations. Their expertise ensures the seamless execution of security strategies, strengthens cross-functional partnerships, and enhances the trust and confidence of employees and guests.

core responsibilities

  • Execute AP Strategy - Bring to life the Asset Protection strategy developed by the Asset Protection Manager, ensuring it aligns with lululemons goals and makes a meaningful impact across the fleet.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation - Stay ahead of market trends and potential risks by recommending physical security measures that reduce loss and keep our stores and people safe.
  • Influence and Guide Store Teams - Build strong partnerships with Regional Managers to guide and support store managers, fostering a culture of trust, safety, and operational excellence. Regularly educate teams on shortage results and shrink drivers, promoting personal responsibility and proactive measures to reduce store loss.
  • Project Management - Work closely with teams like IDEA, Retail Operations, Facilities, and Technology on projects that enhance our fleet, such as launching ServiceNow tiles, emergency preparedness resources, and other key initiatives.
  • Education and Training - Lead through training content and AP-created courses like the AP/IDEA Summit to equip store teams and partners with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate risk and prioritize safety.
  • Compliance - Conduct store walkthroughs to ensure OSHA requirements are met, address potential safety concerns, and reinforce our commitment to keeping people safe.
  • Leading and working through external and internal theft investigations, including determining investigation scope, resources needed, partnership with store leaders and/or law enforcement, and follow-up actions to mitigate future loss.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with store teams, regional leaders, and SSC to drive a unified approach to safety and security, ensuring that all teams are aligned and working together to protect our people, assets, and brand.

qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or 2-3 years of related experience in a similar position
  • 3+ years of retail operations management 
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively cross-functionally.
  • Experience with vendor management. 
  • Proven track record for problem solving and troubleshooting in high volume environment. 
  • Experience delivering best-in-class training that is rooted in our culture and core values.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemons compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from  $81,100 - $106,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
