Director of Pharmacy

Are you an experienced pharmacist with a passion for clinical excellence and operational leadership? We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Pharmacy to lead our hospital pharmacy operations in New Mexico.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a vital department in a fast-paced, patient-focused, for-profit hospital environment. Youll lead a skilled team, shape strategic initiatives, and help drive exceptional outcomes for our patients and organization.

• Oversee all aspects of hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of clinical care
• Lead, mentor, and manage pharmacy staff to support professional development and departmental efficiency
• Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards
• Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to support medication safety and clinical outcomes
• Manage departmental budgeting, cost controls, and productivity goals
• Lead initiatives to improve service delivery, safety, and patient satisfaction

Required:

• Bachelors degree in Pharmacy
• Active or eligible New Mexico Pharmacist License
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience, with at least 2 years in a pharmacy leadership or management role
• Proven experience in team leadership, clinical program development, and budget oversight
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Advanced degree: PharmD, MS, or MBA
• Previous experience working in a for-profit hospital setting
