Fiduciary Accounting Assistant

Office Locations: Milwaukee

We are seeking a Fiduciary Accounting Assistant to join the firm. This is a fully on-site position.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Organize and maintain current and accurate ledgers for client trust accounts
• Create and record journal entries for all broker activity, including dividends, interest, purchases, sales, and amortization of bonds.
• Generate checks and electronic payments; obtain proper authorizations and signatures.
• Prepare all bank deposits and accurately record each transaction in system.
• Proof, edit and balance account entries to ensure complete and accurate processing of accounts in system.
• Maintain and verify assets held and cash balances at various brokers.
• Copy, assemble, and review finished product (proof lists, inventories, accounts, market value reports, etc.) on a quarterly basis or as otherwise directed.
• Reconcile all transactions, bank statements, and other department reports
• Respond to inquiries of cash balances.
• Run reports to assist in calculating tax estimates.
• Run pricing and dividend mapping process monthly.
• Record billable time per Firm policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate or Bachelors degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 2-4 years related experience preferred

• Meticulous attention to detail and reconciliation expertise
• Proficiency in Excel and PC usage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite or equivalent
