• Description

  Supervise and monitor students assigned to the In-School Suspension Program.

• Responsibilities

  Provide supervision for students who are assigned to the In-School Suspension classroom. Take daily attendance. Review in-school suspension policies, procedures and student expectations with students daily. Monitor all ISS assignments; provide encouragement and feedback to students, monitor tests, computer work and provide instructional assistance as appropriate. Email teachers in advance for work requests and assignments as needed.

• Experience/Qualifications

  Must have high school diploma and passing score on paraprofessional test. Prefer minimum of 60 hours college credit OR 2-year degree. Must be able to multitask; must have ability to prioritize tasks and work independently; must be able to handle, in a calm, intelligent manner, any unexpected situation that may occur. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must have ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have excellent classroom management skills.

• Salary Range

  Salary Grade SS2 WITHOUT 2 or 4 year degree. Salary range = $13.50- $19.71 Salary Grade SS3 with a 2 or 4 year degree. Salary range = $13.80 - $21.25 180 days/ 7.5 hours per day
