Job Description

Production Mail Assistant

The Production Mail Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the outbound mail operations of the department. This position involves preparing, processing, and ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of mail and packages. The assistant will work with various types of mailing equipment, learn shipping regulations, and utilize specialized software to facilitate efficient mail processing.

What youll do in this position:

• Assist in the preparation and processing of outbound department mail and shipments
• Operate and maintain various types of mailing equipment, ensuring proper functionality and efficiency
• Utilize shipping software to track, label, and document outgoing shipments
• Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate records of outbound mail and shipments
• Collaborate with team members to optimize mailing processes and improve efficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized mailing workspace
• Provide exceptional customer service when handling mail-related inquiries
• Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to mail services
