JOB DESCRIPTION JOB DUTIES
  • Curate and confirm content for Alternative Programming and Year-Round Event Programming at Cinepolis
  • Review film submissions for possible film programming.
  • Provide content for social media and website
  • Assist with Trailer Placement for Alternative Content
  • Review and evaluate film submissions for potential inclusion in programming.
  • Research, identify, and propose emerging film content and entertainment trends.
  • Develop and present programming calendars to senior leadership for approval.
  • Provide timely content and assets for social media, website, and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate trailer placements and promotional tie-ins for Alternative Content.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to develop marketing strategies that enhance event visibility and attendance.
  • Work with Operations and Theatre Management teams to ensure seamless execution of programming events.
  • Assist with talent management, including coordinating appearances, Q&As, and special event logistics.
  • Build relationships with film distributors, agencies, independent filmmakers, and content creators.
  • Support negotiations for the best contract terms and conditions to acquire film licenses and talent appearances.
  • Develop budgets for programming events and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate program success, guest engagement, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly programming plans and reports.
  • Monitor industry developments, film festival lineups, and award contenders to keep programming fresh and relevant.
  • Lead and challenge cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update programming databases and internal tracking tools.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Cinepolis, representing the companys programming vision internally and externally.
  • Seek feedback from teams, guests, and partners, and share ideas for continuous improvement.

  • Learning and staying on top of new trends in film, entertainment, and pop culture.
  • Developing creative programming initiatives that align with Cinepolis brand values.
  • Leading contract negotiations for licensing agreements and talent appearances.
  • Providing strategic and tactical leadership that drives results across teams and locations.
  • Influencing key stakeholders to support programming initiatives.
  • Storytelling and promoting Cinepolis unique brand to team members, guests, vendors, and the community.
  • Comprehensive planning, forecasting, and project management.
  • Coaching teams toward maximizing programming success and operational efficiency.
  • Seeking and sharing innovative ideas across departments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors Degree in Film Studies, Communications, Media Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in film programming, film festivals, theatrical distribution, or a related entertainment industry role.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and working with distributors, agencies, and/or independent filmmakers.
  • Prior experience working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and event management teams.
  • Experience managing budgets and reporting on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to approach challenges creatively, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate a professional attitude, conduct, and appearance in all interactions within the corporate setting.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong knowledge of film industry trends, distribution models, and audience demographics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and project management tools (Asana, Trello, or similar).
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to conceptualize new programming ideas and drive innovation.
  • Passion for film, entertainment, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support special events.
