Oracles Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. An engineer at any level can have significant technical and business impact. As a Sr Member of Technical Staff you will own the software design and development for major components of Oracles Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. From a technology perspective, this is a greenfield development environment with a huge amount of autonomy, leaving us free to build and innovate without being encumbered by legacy products and services. 

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience shipping services software
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. 
• Proficient in Java
• Working familiarity with security concepts like Authentication, Encryption, security monitoring.
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

• Architect and implement distributed systems that are highly available, fault-tolerant, and optimized for performance and scalability in production environments.
• Design and build real-time and batch data pipelines using Apache Flink and Apache Spark, supporting advanced data processing and analytics use cases.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, security engineers, and other software teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver new features that power security use cases.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracles differing products, industries and lines of business.Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
