Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinator II
The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University seeks an experienced and dynamic Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinator (Student Recruiter II) to support and execute recruitment strategies for the Colleges undergraduate programs. As the largest undergraduate business college in Iowa with historic increases in new students and the addition of in-demand programs, the Undergraduate Recruitment Office is establishing a comprehensive recruitment strategy that reflects the vision and strategic plan of the College.
As a key member of the Colleges recruitment team, this position will assist and support the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment by building and nurturing relationships with high schools, community colleges, and professional organizations such as DECA and FBLA to expand the Colleges market. This position will involve regular visits to high schools and community colleges to share information about the opportunities within the Ivy College of Business while actively cultivating long-term partnerships with educators, counselors/advisors, and administrators. The role will be focused on outreach efforts, recruitment activities, and establishing strong, ongoing partnerships that support recruitment goals. You will also lead campus visit programs, prospective student correspondence, and outreach initiatives, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive student enrollment.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate verbally, virtually, and in writing; demonstrate effective public speaking and presentation skills; possess excellent computer skills to organize and manage recruitment and CRM data/communications; and have strong interpersonal skills. The candidate will also possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple recruitment initiatives simultaneously and track progress, and the ability to work well with a wide range of individuals in roles external to ISU and across campus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment
Focus on building relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other external organizations (such as DECA, FBLA) to increase awareness of the Ivy College of Business and its academic offerings. Conduct regular visits to high schools, community colleges, and external recruitment events presenting the Colleges programs and opportunities to prospective students, counselors, and advisors. Develop partnerships with key external stakeholders to foster a pipeline of qualified prospective students. Counsel prospective students and families on the various academic programs, admissions-related information, and opportunities at the Ivy College of Business. Manage the Ivy College of Business undergraduate recruitment email account and regularly communicate with prospective students and families.
Programming & Events
Collaborate in the planning, execution, and delivery of outreach, recruitment, and yield events aimed at prospective business students and high school partners (such as DECA and FBLA), with the goal of increasing enrollment. Assist in developing recruitment materials for outreach to high schools, community colleges, and other external organizations, customizing the content to meet the needs of each audience. Oversee the creation and distribution of tailored communication materials and presentations for different prospective student groups, highlighting both new and established business academic programs. Work closely with other campus departments—such as admissions, campus visits, and college partners—to ensure seamless coordination of outreach efforts.
Administrative
Provide administrative support to the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and the Undergraduate Student Services Office, assisting students and faculty within the Ivy College of Business. Attend regular staff meetings, development events, and participate in standing recruitment and admissions meetings (e.g., Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinating Council). Prepare and distribute reports and information related to recruitment duties. Serve as a resource to faculty and staff on recruitment activities and events and assist in coordinating their involvement in outreach efforts. Maintain and update transfer guides, ensuring they provide accurate, up-to-date information for prospective transfer students.
Other duties as assigned
Participate actively in the activities, events, and life of the College and the Undergraduate Student Services Office, and other opportunities as assigned or directed.

Undergraduate student, staff, and faculty volunteers.
