Administrative Assistant of Ministry
Seeking a skilled, friendly, spiritually grounded Administrative Assistant of Ministry
Position may be available part-time or full-time.

General Requirements for Both positions:
- Embrace and demonstrate Christian values and principles
- Submit a recommendation from a local church affiliation or leader. Church ministry involvement is a plus.
- Proficient in English along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, spell and edit with speed and accuracy
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, trust, professionalism, and business etiquette
- Experienced with handling and accounting for money
- Have a heart to serve in a ministry environment
- Be able to work extended hours when needed
- Be detailed oriented
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- Be willing to adapt to frequent changes
- Well-groomed
- Willing to go the extra mile to serve and help to get the job done
- Possess good people skills (kind, patient, welcoming spirit)
- Have excellent computer skills (Spreadsheets, Word documents, Google docs, internet searches, emailing, Adobe, Canva, etc.)
- Create electronic forms (i.e. sign up list, surveys, etc.)
- Able to multi-task and perform ever changing assignments at any given time.
- A great team player and great at building good relationships with co-workers
- Resourceful: Search for solutions, resolve issues, provide adequate assistance without supervisory input.
- Show genuine hospitality to everyone and those in great need.
Ministerial Administrative Assistant Summary of Duties Include:
Assist the Sr. Pastor in carrying out office and ministerial tasks as assigned.
- Maintain accurate membership records on members and non-members
- Coordinate funeral and wedding events with the pastor and communicate related policies
- Missions Administrative Tasks (Social Services Work): Obtain applications and screen candidates in need of financial assistance in the community and among church members. Make purchases when needed. Establish relationships with community partners and establish a social service resource data base.
- Provide basic emotional, spiritual support, and community resources.
- Process ministry-related check requests for payment according to approved budgets.
- Schedule appointments for the pastor (Counseling, ministry meetings, community meetings, etc.)
- Develop calendar of events
- Maintain active roster of the church leadership and their terms
- Type, print, or post Christian education materials
- Attend community events as directed by the Pastor
- Assist Business administrator when needed
- Maintain an accurate filing system
- Be cross trained to perform Business Administrative Assistant tasks when needed.
- Make copies using commercial copiers
- Answer and respond to numerous telephone calls
- Enter Data into special church management software
- Email, fax, call , text individuals as needed.
- Create fliers and event programs
- Provide church ministry and church details to interested parties.
- Perform other assigned duties
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $29,451.24 - $47,493.78 per year
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
