Hours: Full time Winter Hours (November to April): Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Summer Hours (April to November): Monday- Thursday; 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Hours may be adjusted based on weather and/or emergency conditions (weekends and holidays included).

This is responsible administrative and technical work overseeing maintenance and repair service to County-owned and leased buildings, vehicles, and equipment. Nature of Work/Examples of Work Performed Plan, direct, schedule, and supervise the performance of maintenance and repair functions including grounds upkeep, personnel, and equipment repair in a proper, professional, and safe manner. Requisition supplies and keep records of usage; investigate cost of new and replacement equipment and recommend purchase. Prepare and assist others in creating purchase contracts. Provide overall supervision of Shop and Facilities maintenance staff. Coordinate use of vendors, equipment, supplies, and tool purchases for maintenance activities. Minimum Qualifications/Necessary Special Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent plus 4 years of experience in building construction and maintenance work including 6 months of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Four years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment repair desired. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Possession of a valid drivers license and the ability to be insured by the Countys insurance carrier is required.

Employees must work a least 30 hours per week to be eligible for insurance benefits. Vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays are prorated for part time employees based upon the hours worked per week. Temporary, seasonal, and on-call employees are not eligible for benefits.
