Position Description Advertised Job Summary Full-time Grant Writer, (Grants Admin I), Salary commensurate with education and experience, 37.5 hours/week, USCA Office of Research and Strategic Initiatives Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Research and Strategic Initiatives, this temporary position is responsible for providing institutional-level support to academic and non-academic units by identifying and securing grant funding opportunities. This position will be expected to function at high levels of productivity with limited supervision. Guidance and support will be provided as necessary. Options for remote work are available. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 4 years experience in contracts and grant administration activities, or equivalency. Experience in grant writing in an institution of Higher Education and knowledge of federal grant/contract regulations and procedures preferred. Job Duties Job Duty Collaborates with the director of sponsored research, faculty, staff of non-academic units, and the grant accountant to identify funding opportunities and develop competitive proposals that align with the institutions strategic goals and comply with funding agency guidelines. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Drafts, reviews, and edits proposal narratives and supporting documents, ensuring clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness of proposal content.
