Intake Coordinator

Intake coordinator Description Are you passionate about mental health? Were looking for a fantastic candidate to help people get connected to the right therapist for them. If you are detail oriented, have an interest in helping people, and a background or familiarity with mental healthcare, we want to hear from you! This part time job is flexible and would be perfect for a working parent or graduate student in social work, counseling, or psychology. This is a remote position but the candidate needs to be located in DC, MD, or VA. This job will be about 15 hours per week. About Rock Creek Therapy Rock Creek Therapy has two goals; to provide exceptional patient care to the people we treat, and to offer a home and community for therapists to work, support each other, and to continue to learn and grow as effective psychotherapists. Responsibilities Our intake coordinator runs our whole intake process. Youd be making sure that someones first interaction with us is friendly, helpful, and seamless. Your duties would include:

• Following up with people who have reached out to us via email and phone
• Answering and returning phone calls
• Helping people choose a therapist based on their presenting problems, the therapists specializations, and schedule availability
• Keeping our inquiry tracking system up to date by logging every email and call that comes in about someone looking for a therapist, as well as outreach attempts made.
• Communicating with the team to make sure you have the most up-to-date information about their availability.
• Scheduling phone consultations and intakes
• Complying with regulations of the practice, including regulations related to handling protected health information.
• Some clerical work as needed (faxing, email management, expense submitting)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Interest in mental health and wellness, previous experience as an intake coordinator a big plus!
• Exemplary interpersonal skills, kindness and compassion
• Attention to detail and task oriented
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Experience and comfort working with LGBTQ+ folx

$22 - $26 per hour
