PC Support Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled PC Support Technician to join our IT support team. This position involves providing timely and efficient technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of personal computers, laptops, and peripherals across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide first-line support to end-users for hardware and software-related issues, focusing on PCs, laptops, and associated peripherals.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve a variety of hardware and software issues, including operating system errors, network connectivity problems, and device malfunctions.
- System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade PCs and peripherals, ensuring they are set up and running optimally for user requirements.
- User Assistance: Guide users through self-help procedures, and provide clear instructions for resolving minor issues. Assist users with system setup, configuration, and software installations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring all devices are properly documented, and assist in asset management.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on all devices to ensure they are functioning efficiently, including updating software, ensuring virus protection, and checking system performance.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of technical issues, resolutions, and configurations in the ticketing system, ensuring effective follow-up and issue tracking.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the network support team to ensure seamless integration of devices within the corporate network and support broader IT infrastructure projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School. CompTIA A+, or equivalent certifications, preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a PC support or technical support role, with a focus on troubleshooting, hardware repair, and system administration.
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
