Software Developer

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: As a Software Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining enterprise software applications. You will work closely with experienced developers to write, test, and improve code, contribute to both front-end and back-end development, and support database integration efforts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with business and IT team members to design, develop, and maintain software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python, JavaScript, HTML, and XML.
• Work with MySQL and SQL databases to retrieve, update, and manage data.
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Assist with documentation of development processes and user guides.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Exposure to web frameworks or APIs.
• Knowledge of RESTful services and JSON.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on academic or internship experience with:
  • Programming Languages: Python, JavaScript
  • Markup / Web Languages: HTML, XML
  • Database Management: SQL, MySQL
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
