Administrative Officer (Div)
The University of New Mexico School of Law seeks a highly organized and skilled Administrative Officer. This position works closely with the Dean and Associate Deans at the School of Law and serves as a valuable member of Law School Administration. Main duties include: Supervise and manage daily operations of the Faculty Support team, which provides clerical and administrative support to all Law professors and adjunct faculty; supervise the Deans Assistant/Operations Specialist and provide support to ensure adequate resources for the Office of the Dean; supervise and manage the Law School Reception area and mailroom activities, including arranging coverage and developing reliable back-up coverage; coordinate and execute administrative support activities for the Dean and Associate Deans of the Law School; provide direct support to the Law School Dean and Associate Deans with support of critical faculty committees, creating spreadsheets, drafting correspondence and faculty meeting minutes, formatting and editing Word documents, and creating other documents in various mediums as assigned. May organize and facilitate meetings, conferences, and other special events.
The successful candidate will be highly reliable, will work productively both independently and as part of a team, will demonstrate a customer service-oriented approach, and will exhibit pride in providing top-quality service and an outstanding work product.

Conditions of Employment- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the Universitys influenza vaccination requirement.
High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified, of which at least 2 should be directly related to managing at least one of the functional areas of fiscal services, administration and/or human resources.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly skilled at drafting correspondence, with solid knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple demands in a busy environment
- Demonstrable experience with MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and cloud-based file management
- Experienced in supervising a team of staff members that provide a range of administrative and clerical support
- Demonstrable experience overseeing the provision of services across multiple units
- Unwavering commitment to producing a high-quality work product, with careful attention to detail
- Experienced in University of New Mexico systems and administrative processes
