Description
Leidos is seeking an Agile Product Owner to join our team responsible for integrating, operating, and sustaining various systems. This role involves managing a team of systems engineers, configuration managers, and cybersecurity engineers to deliver next-generation Geospatial Intelligence technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with Agile methodologies and tools, participate in release planning, daily scrums, and technical discussions to meet customer requirements. The work involves utilizing GOTS, COTS, and custom technologies to deliver advanced capabilities through desktop, web, and cloud platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive product delivery by understanding customer, mission, and product requirements.
- Develop and support the product team roadmap and schedules to meet commitments.
- Plan and prioritize epics, features, stories, and bugs.
- Write technical tasks that deliver business value to the customer.
- Define, document, and track Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs.
- Communicate effectively with product owners, scrum masters, leadership, customers, and developers to resolve obstacles and align efforts.
- Lead and support agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
- Propose new ideas for technical solutions and processes.
- Create and update briefings and reports for leadership and customers.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, especially on high-priority issues.
- Collaborate with team members and customers to manage the product backlog.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Masters with 6 years, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Proactive, positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead teams and work well in groups.
- Experience presenting to senior management.
- Experience defining and managing product roadmaps.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Agile Certification.
- Certified Product Owner and Scrum Master.
- PMP Certification.
- Knowledge of AWS/Cloud technologies.
- Experience managing multiple baselines and environments.
- Proficiency with Jira/Confluence.
- Experience with ArcGIS, geospatial technologies, and geomatics data.
