ViaSat, a leader in global satellite communications, is looking for a Commissions Analyst to join our mission. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your career in a fun and high reaching environment working directly with our sales partners as it relates to awarding them for bringing on new residential and business customers to support our fixed broadband business. As well as working cross-functionally within our business with sales leadership, IT and accounting to support variable compensation payments. The day-to-day As the Commissions Analyst, you will assist in calculating and processing the weekly, and monthly Channel Partner reimbursements across multiple sales channels. Use our ICM software, Xactly Incent, to process variable sales commissions, which include base compensation, bonus incentives, long term incentives, and fulfillment reimbursements.
- You will perform commission staff support activities needed for the development, implementation, communication and administration of sales commissions or incentive programs, plans, policies, and quotas.
- Audit commission payment reports for accuracy and completeness using EXCEL (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Basic Formulas) and dedicated commissions software to calculate data for payment calculation or analysis.
- Verify and follow through, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of commission payments as outlined in the contract plan.
- You may be asked to generate ad hoc reporting requested by both internal and external customers.
- Resolve reconciliation issues and support our partners by maintaining positive relationships and resolving disputes in a timely and complete manner.
- 2+ years of experience in Compensation or transferable experience.
- 2+ years of proven EXCEL spreadsheet skills perferably within a financial space.
- Strong Analytical Skills, you will need the ability to not only perform with accuracy but also recognize historical and current payment patterns to identify when calculations appear off and have the aim to investigate into why.
- Possess effective social skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal and documentation skills.
- Flexibility of time for occasional after hours and weekends.
- Ability to pick up new software with a willingness to learn and produce results independently.
- 2+ years in Incentive/variable Commissions
- Experience using ICM SaaS Software (Xactly Incent, SPIFF, Callidus etc)
- Mid/Large corporation experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
