Senior quality engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Senior Quality Engineer at HUSCO Automotive

Holdings, LLC in Waukesha, Wisconsin will identify, implement and maintain systems, tools and metrics that track quality department goals and objectives. Develop and implement shop floor quality procedures. Support advanced product planning (FMEAs, control plans, and product/process capability studies).

Audit manufacturing process as well as system for compliance. Identify quality issues and improvement opportunities and take active role in their resolution. Lead, develop, and implement quality and environmental systems through industry and customer audits and certifications to standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA 6.1, Ford Q1, and GM BIQS.

Drive necessary actions across organization in order to secure and retain applicable quality certifications. Drive root cause analysis and problem resolution utilizing Six Sigma methodology and Quality Management System processes. Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify, schedule, and execute all quality related deliverables (line specific) including: History of Quality; PFMEAs and Control Plans; Process Capability, GR&R and MSA; Production

Parts Approval Process (PPAPs) or Part Validation for Finished Goods, Accessories, Service

Parts, and as required components and raw materials. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field plus four years of experience as a quality engineer or related occupation.

Experience must include two years with each of the following: (1) continuous improvement methodologies including lean manufacturing, six sigma, lean facilitator, and Kaizan; (2) geometric tolerancing and design and use of standard inspection metrology equipment; (3) automotive industry core tools including PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, GR&R, & APQP; and (4) utilizing statistical data and Minitab.
