Volunteer English as a Second Language Tutor
Help make a difference in the lives of diverse learners. DiverseCity Learning Collaborative is a startup nonprofit with the mission to empower diverse communities with knowledge, focusing on refugees, students with disabilities, and students with a minority background.
Tutors will work with clients one-on-one or in small groups, creating individualized lessons and learning plans to help learners meet their goals. Lessons are fully virtual.
Tutors should have experience teaching or tutoring or be in training to become a teacher.
We have a need for bilingual tutors fluent in the following languages (other applicants are still welcome to apply):
Haitian Creole, Dari/ Farsi, Ukrainian, Spanish, Arabic, and French
Tutors should be willing to commit a minimum of 6 months. All volunteers are expected to cover the cost of their background check and complete pre-service training prior to meeting with students.
