Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking to hire a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to help shape the future of data-driven decision-making.

What You Will Do:

As a Junior Data Analyst, youll support the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions across mission-critical projects. Your work will directly contribute to public opinion research, threat mitigation, and strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to analyze complex datasets.
• Clean, preprocess, and validate data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Design interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Support development of Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) APIs for enhanced data accessibility.
• Contribute to narrative analytics and BotNet analysis for public sentiment and threat detection.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. Or, HS and 4 years of relevant experience. 
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, and SQL.
• Experience with visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and hypothesis testing.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship required. 
• Ability to obtain a final TS/SCI security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Knowledge of ad-tech analytics and ML-driven audience insights.
• Prior internship or project experience in data analytics.
• Demonstrated excellent soft skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
