Project Overview:
Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jeferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.

The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy LNG projects.
Job Summary:
You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development for the Site Piling program. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules, and budgets. Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned. (Direct Hire).
- Schedules work to be performed, and reviews work accomplished by each craft. (Direct Hire).
- Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions. (Either DH or CM).
- Participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations.
- Supports, coordinates and reports field activities of construction subcontracts.
- Proactively engages with their teams development through CPM, Competency development/assessment and feedback.
Planning/Productivity:
- Determines workforce requirements.
- Coordinates established area operational plans.
- Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.
- Prepares of construction drawings and sketches.
- Supports development of planning construction methods and procedures.
- Supports development of projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
- Reviews and assigns installation work packages to general foreman.
- Manages the reporting of installed quantities to Field Engineering for verification and quantity claiming.
- Reviews project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.
- Responsible for the development of level 4 and level 5 project schedules.
- Manages the preparation of reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
- Prepares construction methods, schedules, staffing charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, staffing charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Manages the coordination of construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
- Manages the coordination with other subcontractors and external stakeholders (or subcontractors) to plan construction schedules Tools, Materials & Equipment
- Oversees tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Manages the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive.
Safety/Quality:
- Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
- Ensures the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
- Monitors the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
- Monitors work activities and ensures the quality of work performed.
Technical:
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
- Manages engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
- Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
- Manages the preparation of testing processes and required test equipment.
- Inspects installed components for technical acceptance.
- Manages the development of Commodity Installation means and methods.
- Implements understanding of industry / International Codes & Standards applicable to work scope.
- Utilizes and leverages applicable automation software and processes as applicable.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
- Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to develop 3-week look ahead schedule regarding work operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
- Maintain, promote, and cultivate a safe work ethic and work environment within the craft.
- Able to work extended work schedules and night shift as required to support the project execution plans and schedules.
- Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).
- Demonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
- Must have work authorization within the United States of America.
