Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for supporting HR functions by assisting in recruitment, onboarding and off boarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations, providing administrative support, and acting as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters.

Job Responsibilities, As Applicable

Recruitment and Onboarding:

● Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews

● Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and training

Employee Records and Documentation:

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (personal information, job history, performance, etc.)

● Prepare and process necessary HR documents, such as benefits enrollment forms and termination paperwork

● Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and confidentiality standards

Employee Relations:

● Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR inquiries, benefits, and workplace policies

● Support employee engagement initiatives and events to foster a positive workplace culture

Compensation and Benefits Administration:

● Assist in administering employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.)

● Ensure the timely processing of benefits enrollments and changes

● Provide employees with information about benefits programs and help with enrollment or claims issues

Performance Management:

● Assist in organizing and tracking employee performance reviews and appraisals

● Support managers with performance improvement plans (PIPs) and disciplinary actions, as needed

● Maintain documentation related to employee performance and evaluations

Compliance and Legal Requirements:

● Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies

● Prepare reports for regulatory bodies, such as EEO and OSHA filings

● Stay informed about changes in HR laws and regulations to keep the organization compliant

General HR Support:

● Provide administrative support for HR-related projects and initiatives

● Organize and maintain HR-related filing systems and databases

● Assist with HR audits and reporting

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

● Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

● 1 - 2 years experience as an HR coordinator, HR assistant, or similar role

● Must work 10 AM - 7 PM EST

● Requires U.S. based company experience

● Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

● Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and workplace regulations

● Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Google workspace with a strong emphasis on Sheets and Docs

● Capability of effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

● Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of HR-related tasks.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Strong attention to detail and accuracy

● Previous experience in full-cycle recruitment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,500.00 - $45,800.00 per year
