Volunteer Compliance Specialist

DiverseCity Learning Collaborative, a start up non profit, is seeking a volunteer Compliance Specialist. Our organization seeks to empower diverse communities with knowledge. We aim to offer educational services to refugees, immigrants, children in the foster care system, learners with physical or learning disabilities, as well as racial, ethnic, and sexual minorities.

Responsibilities include:

- oversight of 501(c)3 application

- ensure organizational practices are in compliance with applicable laws

- certify the completion of onboarding for volunteers

- safeguard client and volunteer data

- collaborate with executive director and board

Qualifications:

- Experience in compliance, nonprofit administration, or law

- Willingness to commit to training and a minimum of 2 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months, cover the cost of your background check, and complete pre-service training.
