A K-12 public school district in the Lacey and Elma areas is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services to students with diverse needs. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational and developmental progress of children in a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students in grades K-12 to support their educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to enhance student outcomes
- Provide consultative support to classroom personnel regarding sensory, motor, and functional needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant regulations and reporting standards
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with credentials to practice in Washington State
- Experience working with children in a school-based setting preferred
- Knowledge of educational laws, special education practices, and IEP development
