School Speech Therapist - Florissant, Missouri

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the school year in a suburban area near Florissant, MO, serving K-12 students with a primary focus on high school. This contract role offers an opportunity to work with a caseload of approximately 28 students requiring speech and language services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to develop individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct therapy tailored to the unique needs of each student, from elementary through high school
• Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and modifications
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, helping to set and achieve student goals
• Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to support student development

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
• Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant educational laws

Location & Schedule:

• Position based in a suburban community near Florissant, MO
• School-year contract from August 2025 through June 2026
• Scheduled hours aligned with the academic calendar, including school vacations
